Summary: The Rising of The Shield Hero is a story revolving around Iwatani Naofumi. A guy is summoned to another world with 3 other people to become heroes of that world. Each of them is equipped with their own legendary weapon when summoned. Naofumi happens to receive the legendary shield as a weapon. But due to his lack of prestige and experience, he ended up with only one comrade while the other heroes had a few. Even worse, on the third day, Naofumi was betrayed, falsely accused and robbed by her companion. Shunned by everyone, Naofumi's thoughts were filled with nothing but hatred and a desire for revenge. And so, his destiny in a parallel world begins… Naofumi is the first hero to not trust anyone but a slave.
