Summary: Planetes adapted from the manga of the same name by Makoto Yukimura (author of Vinland Saga). The series set in the future in 2075, when science and technology have advanced to help humans travel in space. Planetes tells the story of a group of people who specialize in space scavenging, which is a rare theme in anime so far. Around the people working on old spaceships whose mission is to free space around the globe from countless sharp metal fragments, broken satellites or meteorites moving at tremendous speed. But despite the dangers of their work and their dedication to the human work of conquering the universe, they are still despise by society. They just have to silently face both physical and mental injuries from staying too long in zero gravity, while still burning dreams, nostalgia and regret. These episodes help viewers somewhat better understand the garbage collection. It help us understand more for people who have to move around day and night to remove the garbage that we accidentally, or intentionally throw out.
