Summary: A TV animation that depicts the activities of Takashi Natsume, a boy who can see things that are not in the world, called Ayakashi, and Nyanko-sensei, who looks like a beckoning cat. Takashi, the hero who has been persecuted by seeing youkai, encounters a youkai called a spot when he finds a "friend book" that binds youkai. And as they touch the sadness of the youkai, they will return their names to the youkai bound by the "Friends Book". Eventually, not only youkai but also human friends who yearn for him began to gather around Natsume. A new original animated story included on a bonus mail-order DVD eligible for readers of LaLa's August, October and September 2013 issues. It was later aired as a special in the broadcast schedule of Natsume Yuujinchou Go on the 16.November 2016.
