Summary: K-ON! revolves around four girls in their first year of high school joining the Sakuragaoka Girls' High School's light music club to save it from being shut down. However at first, Hirasawa Yui, a member of the club, had no experience in using the instrument or in how to read phonograms. In the end, she chose the right instrument for herself as a guitar. Since then, Yui, drummer Tainaka Ritsu, bassist Akiyama Mio and Kotobuki Tsumugi playing keyboards spend a lot of time at their school practicing and performing, though most of them just gather around to play and drink tea. The club's manager is the music teacher Yamanaka Sawako, who later becomes the homeroom teacher of the main characters during her senior year. As the second year of school begins, the club welcomes a new guitarist, Nakano Azusa, who takes a class below them. Since Azusa joined, the club has become more organized and started practicing more.
