Summary: Full Metal Panic! is a light novel series write by Gatoh Shoji and illustrated by Douji Shiki. The story about Sousuke Sagara, a member of an anti-terrorist private military organization called Mithril. He tasked with protecting Kaname Chidori, a Japanese high school girl. He moved to Japan to study at Chidori's school, Jindai Middle School, with the support of Kurz Weber and Melissa Mao. Due to his lack of basic social skills, Sousuke always teased by his classmates as a military maniac as he tries to interpret everyday situations from his combat experience. Chidori realizes that Sousuke is trying to protect her but he does not reveal the reason for this nor that he does not know why Chidori is being targeted by other organizations.
