Summary: In distent future, under constant threat from giant creatures known as the Kyoryuu. They are classified into at least four categories according to their size: "Conrad", "Mohorovicic", "Gutenberg", and "Lehmann". Pushed to the brink of destruction, a mysterious organization called APE has led the remnants of humanity from the surface of the earth to mobile fortress cities called Plantation. To protect Plantation, children known as Parasites are trained to control giant machines called the Franxx. Franxx works on the synchronization of a male-female pair. Hiro is a pilot, however he cannot sync up with his partner and neither of them complete the training program. While escaping from the class's graduation ceremony, Hiro meets Zero Two, a notorious Franxx operator with the Kyoryuu bloodline. And from here Hiro and changes his life.
