Summary: Chobits story about the future world. Persocom, a humanoid robot used as a personal computer, became popular in the life of mankind. People see Persocom as a real person and live together as a family member. Hideki, a student from the same hometown who came to the city to study for college entrance exam after many failed exams. Besides finding a girlfriend, his dream is to own a Persocom but the cost is too expensive. One day, while on his way home from the grocery store, Hideki stumbled upon a Persocom. She is in the form of a beautiful girl with long golden hair. She wrapped in white tape and lying on top of a garbage. After some hesitation, Hideki picked up the Persocom and named it Chi, unaware that Chi is one of the Chobits - the legendary Persocom, has independent thoughts and emotions like a human. Besides, the Chi still possesses a huge energy source that may not manufacture all the other Persocomes.
