Summary: The anime is the story of a girl named Arte, who grew up in a noble family in Florence in the early 16th century. Arte loves art. Her late father offered to tutor and encouraged her daughter's passion, though the mother disapproved. After his death, she strictly forbade her daughter's hobby, because at the age of nearly 15, Arte had turned marriage age. With her husband just passed away, she assumed that the family would no longer have the financial ability to provide Arte's suitors with a sufficiently impressive dowry. In fact, every artist in the neighborhood refused to look at Arte's paintings, for simply, women in this era had no voice. Only after she cut her hair and threatened to cut her breasts in the street to stop being treated like a girl. Fortunately, Leo stops her and Arte more or less gets the chance to fulfill his dream when he takes her as his disciple.
