Summary: The first of movie of "Mobile Suit Gundam". It re-edits episodes 1 to 13 of the TV version. It records from Amuro's activation of Gundam to the recognition of the appearance of a huge enemy. In U.C 0079, a unit led by Char Aznable of the Principality of Zeon invades Space Colony Side 7 aiming at the Mobile Suit Gundam secretly under development by the Federal Army. Amuro Ray, a boy who lived in Side 7, activates Gundam and fights against Zeon's mobile suit and defeats it. Amuro, who escaped to the new battleship White Base of the Federal Army with the people of Side 7. He involved in the war as a Gundam pilot.
