Summary: Nobita has trouble about what to do with his zero test score again. A gust of wind blew his test papers, and he fell into a trash dump trying to gather them together. There, he found a withered tree caught one of his papers and he decided to bring it home. He tried to plant it in the garden but was caught by his mother, who wouldn't allow him to plant it. Still wanting to keep it but not being allowed to develop, Doraemon got the idea of making it come alive with an object he used. Nobita named the small tree "Kibou" because all it could say was "ki". As the days passed, Nobita's parents accepted Kibou as he was a very intelligent boy who helped Nobita's mother when he was away. However, the aliens from the Blue Planet decide through a ruling that claims that humans are destroying all green on Earth. Nobita and his friends escaped by coincidence and arrived on their planet. They are warmly welcomed to their city of Green Pier but also learn about what they are doing with their planet.
